Chairman's message

Making a difference every day

I was recently asked what advice I would give to a young person starting out in our EY organisation. My response? Opportunities will come in waves: so make sure you say ‘yes’ to the right one, ride it, reflect on what you’ve learned and then be ready to ride the next. However, saying ‘yes’ isn't just about career advancement; it’s also about individual growth, leading with purpose and making a positive impact.

When every person working with us follows this path, our collective impact can be enormous. Our annual Impact Report shows how our purpose of Building a better working world shapes our organisation and powers our actions.

Creating a positive impact is not just ethical; it drives sustainable growth and a continued positive contribution to the UK economy. We're judged on more than just commercial success – that’s why we measure our impact across four long-term value lenses: people, society, clients and financial.

Our efforts reflect our commitment to global standards, social inclusion and lifelong learning. We make a real difference in our communities through our volunteering, peer support and outreach programmes. We strive to make our business more sustainable and help clients create forward-thinking plans to do the same.

This report powerfully expresses the EY people’s dedication and passion for building a better working world.
